2024 Annual Award Against Indifference

Echo is pleased to present the 26th annual Award Against Indifference to former Bank of America President and Executive in Residence at UNC Charlotte, Charles Bowman, honoring his commitment to keeping Charlotte a great place to live.

Active in community affairs, Bowman has served on the boards of many organizations in the Charlotte region and statewide, including the United Way, the North Carolina Chamber of Commerce, Project L.I.F.T., the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Mint Museum, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and the Charlotte Mecklenburg Community Foundation. Bowman has been awarded the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest honor given to civilians by the Governor of North Carolina.
